We take care of everything down to the smallest detail.
Afro Fusion
In the Afro Fusion class, you will learn to move to the energetic rhythms of Afrobeats music. “Afrobeats,” “Afro-pop,” and “Afro-fusion” are umbrella terms for contemporary popular music from West Africa. In the class, the “basic Afro steps” play an important role.
You can take the Afro Fusion class in the following formats:
- Fundamentals en Choreo
Fundamentals
In the Fundamentals classes, you will work on the foundation of a dance style. You will learn the basic steps, grooves, and all the essential elements of the style. We also teach you how to play with the movements and feel increasingly free in your dancing. The focus is primarily on exercises rather than full routines.
Choreo
In the Choreo classes, you will experience the dance style by practicing and performing routines or choreographies. On top of that, we challenge you to play with and vary the routines. The focus in these classes is therefore on different elements than simply learning the basic steps. All Choreo classes build upon the Fundamentals classes, making it ideal to combine them with a Fundamentals lesson.
- Kids
Kids Classes
Dance classes for children aged 8 to 12, where they learn to dance to the energetic rhythms of Afrobeats music. “Afrobeats,” “Afro-pop,” or “Afro-fusion” are umbrella terms for contemporary popular music from West Africa.

About me
Dance entered my life in 2007 when I first stepped into a dance school with two friends who wanted to take classes themselves. My intention was simply to support my friends. However, I got the chance to join in myself, and I wanted more!
Dance means a lot to me. My goal is to be the best version of myself. Dance helps me tremendously because it gives me the freedom to express myself through movement, as well as in everyday life. That is why it is one of the most important things in my life. Read more about me and discover what dance means to me.

About me
I have been dancing since I was very young. Due to the prolonged illness of my theater teacher, I was given dance lessons as a replacement. From that moment, I was hooked and never let go. Through dance, I feel free, happy, and connected — connected to the music and to others who love to dance.
After high school, I was accepted into Codarts, the University of the Arts, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education in 2013. During my final year, I crossed paths with Selwin, and together we founded Mistura Movement.

About me
I started dancing in 2020, even though I had little experience. I discovered Mistura and immediately felt a connection. I really wanted to dance and loved learning new steps and movements. The atmosphere was amazing, and I had a great time.
Dancing at Mistura means being able to express yourself in a safe and supportive environment. It is a place where you are free to be yourself, express your creativity, and have fun.

About me
My dance journey began the moment I could walk. I grew up surrounded by dance and music. Every morning, while getting ready for school, music would be playing in all styles — from Hip Hop to R&B, Reggae, and Motown. After school, I would put on my nicest clothes, turn on the radio, and dance. That habit has never left me!
At the age of six, I started classical dance. Later, I spent years dancing Hip Hop, which made me feel truly free and full of energy. I also took musical theatre classes, learning various styles including jazz and modern.
